The NUT offers the following ICT skills courses:
Introductory Level
- Word – design and produce various documents, such as letters and reports, quickly and efficiently
- Excel – create your own spreadsheets, including graphs and calculations
- Internet – discover resource features for class materials
Intermediate Level
- Word – use advanced features such as creating tables and mail merge
- PowerPoint – create presentations with graphics and special effects
- Excel – create your own spreadsheets, including graphs and calculations
- Internet – discover resource features for class materials
Course prerequisites: Word – basic level experience
Multimedia Technology
- Interactive whiteboards – increase your knowledge and confidence
- Publisher – create newsletters and flyers
- Digital cameras – learn how to transfer and manipulate images (optional on some courses)
Course prerequisites: File management, PowerPoint and/or interactive whiteboard experience
Interactive Whiteboards
- increase your knowledge of Promethean Activstudio 2 and/or SMART interactive whiteboards
- teachers are welcome to apply for either or both modules, as applicable
Course prerequisites: Attendance on the NUT’s ICT Skills for Teachers multimedia course or experience with interactive whiteboards prior to starting this course.
